First Visit Expectations
Below is an overview of what you can expect during your first visit to Spilotro Periodontics and Dental Implants.
Please Note: All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation appointment.
Your first visit is not only about our team getting to know you, but also about you getting to know our team. We encourage our patients to ask questions and express any concerns. Let us know if there is anything we can do to make your visit exceptional!
Bring the following with you to your first appointment:
Your referral slip and x-rays from your referring dentist.
A current list of medications including all supplements and vitamins (please note that you can fill out your patient registration and medical history form here).
If you have dental insurance, please bring any forms or insurance cards.
Please notify the office if you have a medical condition or concern before surgery (e.g., artificial heart valves or joints, heart murmurs requiring pre-medication, severe diabetes, or hypertension).
After an in-depth medical and dental health history, we will perform a thorough oral examination to measure bone loss, loose teeth, bite, oral cancer screening, TMJ, and other signs of periodontal disease.
Once your exam is complete, Dr. Spilotro will talk with you about his findings. Together you can create a healthy, effective treatment plan that best meets your dental and personal requirements. We can prioritize and stagger your treatments to give you a smile you deserve in a timeframe you can afford.
Finally, we want you to know we will go above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and safe. Not only is your physical comfort important to us, but your emotional well-being is, too.
